Pool Tile & Coping

The details that frame the water

Tile and coping are the trim of a pool, and they carry a surprising amount of its look. Cracked, loose or dated tile and worn coping make a whole pool feel old. Replacing them is one of the highest-impact updates you can make, often without a full remodel.

We replace waterline tile, repair and reset coping, and can update both to a modern glass, stone or porcelain look that transforms the pool's edge.

What’s included

What tile & coping work includes

Waterline tile replacement

Remove failed tile and install fresh glass, stone or porcelain at the waterline.

Coping repair & reset

Repair, reset or replace coping to fix trip hazards and cracks and refresh the edge.

Calcium & scale removal

Clean or replace tile fouled by calcium scale so the waterline looks crisp again.

Material upgrades

Move to modern glass or natural stone for a higher-end edge.

Color matching

Coordinate tile and coping with your finish and decking for a cohesive look.

Detailing

Clean grout lines and edges that make the whole pool feel maintained.

Our approach

Small change, big difference

Updating tile and coping is one of the best value moves in pool remodeling. It sharpens the entire look of the pool at a fraction of a full renovation, and it fixes real problems like loose coping and failing waterline tile.

We often pair it with resurfacing so the edge and interior are refreshed together for a cohesive result.

Pool Tile & Coping questions

Can I replace tile without draining the whole pool?
Waterline tile work usually requires lowering the water below the tile line rather than a full drain. We handle the water management as part of the job.
Why does my tile have a white crusty buildup?
That is calcium scale from water chemistry and evaporation. We can clean it or, where it has etched the tile, replace the waterline tile for a clean finish.
Should I replace tile and coping during a resurface?
It is the ideal time. The water is already down and crews are on site, so combining them saves cost and gives a cohesive, finished look.
